The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, known as Ithra, is a cultural and creative landmark in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, designed to promote human development, creativity, and cross-cultural engagement. It features a variety of facilities, including a museum, a library, a cinema, and a theater, and hosts workshops, performances, and exhibitions. The center's mission is to inspire a passion for knowledge and creativity, and its iconic architecture was designed by the firm Snøhetta. Key features and facilities Museum: Features four galleries showcasing contemporary art, Saudi and Islamic heritage, and the natural history of the Arabian Peninsula. Library: A multi-level library with a collection of approximately 200,000 books accessible to all ages. Theater: A 930-seat theater for performances like concerts, musicals, and lectures. Cinema: A cinema that shows films and hosts events. Great Hall: A large exhibition space that can also be used for events and conferences.
